Most Anticipated Book Releases for the First Half of 2020 || {TTT}

Am I a day late? Of course. Are we still going through with this? Yes, we need the content.

It’s kind of hard for me to make this list, only because when you say highly anticipated, I’m thinking books I’m buying on release dayWhich ain’t too many.

But, I managed ten nonetheless, so there’s that.

Take a Hint, Dani Brown – Talia Hibbert || Because I absolutely fell in love with Get a Life, Chloe Brown and the cover is ADORABLE.

Merry Inkmas review

Now That I’ve Found You – Kristina Forest || I Wanna Be Where You Are made my favorites list… so here we are.

I Wanna Be Where You Are review

The Gilded Ones – Namina Forna || I’m going to be honest: I just recently learned what this book is about, even though I had it on my Goodreads shelf for the longest… that cover is top tier content.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes – Suzanne Collins || Are we surprised? I’m expecting this book on 99% of peoples Top Ten list.

Clap When You Land – Elizabeth Acevedo || Favorite author, loved her last book, same repetitive stuff, don’t be surprised.

The Poet X review

Harley in the Sky – Akemi Dawn Bowman || I’m part of the street team! And Bowman has yet to write a book I haven’t adored, so there’s that.

Summer Bird Blue review; Starfish review

The Kingdom of Back – Marie Lu || I’m really surprised I haven’t really been hearing much about this book, I expected more hype but all I’m hearing is silence….

Legend review; The Young Elites review

The King of Crows – Libba Bray || Why no, I haven’t read the second or third book, but I really liked The Diviners and I know this series will be on my favorites list this year.

The Diviners review

Incendiary – Zoraida Córdova || I became a fan after Bruja Born and this cover drop kicked me into space.

Labyrinth Lost review; Bruja Born review

Beach Read – Emily Henry ||| As much as I love Henry’s books, I am nervous about this one? And I don’t know why? I’m cautiously excited for this one.

A Million Junes review; The Love that Split the World review; When the Sky Fell on Splendor review; Hello Girls review

A lot of diverse reads on my list… I’m pretty proud 😀 . But, tell me: what are some of your most anticipated releases for the first half of 2020? Any on this list? Let me know!

  1. Hallo, Hallo LaRonda,

If you thought being a day late was unique – try being several weeks late! lol I didn’t get to post my Most Anticipated Reads for 2020 until this past Tuesday! I have a mixture of genres, stories, and authors – although, it wasn’t until today where someone finally mentioned the one story I felt might have stood out from the pack of being a wholly original concept – which was the gender-bent switch of how Alexander the Great ends up in Space! 🙂

Lovely group of stories here – some I’ve seen in passing but most are all NEW to me.

I looked up two of the titles I felt might be a good match for me – “Harley in the Sky” and “Clap When You Land”. After reading the synopsis of them both I want to add them into my TBR for the year because they are definitely going to be emotional reads but I liked the resolute & fierce strength the characters have within them. Thanks for giving me two #mustreads selections!
