Harley in the Sky, Circus Book Tag

This tag was created by Jemma @Fantastic Books and Where to Find Them!

Oh wow, I’m actually doing a tag? On this blog? Who meeeeeeee???

In all seriousness, this is one of my most anticipated releases of 2020 (I made an entire list here if you need a reference) and seeing as I’m a part of the street team for this book….

(I haven’t been doing a good job at it if I’m honest).

I’m still here for this book tag! AND seeing as this book comes out in a little under a month…. I might as well start super shrieking about it now.

RingMaster – What book introduced you to your favourite genre?

Reviews: When The Sky Fell on Splendor, A Million Junes, The Love that Split the World, Hello Girls

I can’t say for certain which book initially got me into my obsession for the genre,  but I will shout forever that Emily Henry’s books are the first that come to mind when I think about my love to Fabulism/Magical Realism. Specifically A Million Junes? Because of TEARS????

Acrobatics – A fast-paced read.

Review: Archivist Wasp, Latchkey

For a book so jammed packed full of stuff, the Archivist Wasp duology flew by. Yes, the book is only 268 pages, but it had ghost super soldiers and a race to discover what happened to them and super intense platonic friendship and a tortured girl and hardcore survival and war secrets and experiments and IT’S A LOT IN SUCH A SHORT BOOK. I LOVED IT.

Clowns – A book that made you laugh.

It’s quite rare that a book manages to get an actual, physical chuckle out of me, let alone a laugh? It’s the equivalent to texting LOL with a blank face??

But, Not Your Sidekick {review} had me cracking up (amongst squealing with joy in the process).

Knife thrower – A book that had you on the edge of your seat.

The only reason I’m adding Shutter Island is because I had to read it in 10th grade English and my English teacher made this an EXPERIENCE.

And back when I was obsessed with all things psychology… my mind was not ready.

Also, this is one of the rare times I had NO IDEA how this would end??? A true mind blaster.

Tightrope Walker – A book you just couldn’t put down.

The Croak series by Gina Damico? Because as much as I wanted to put it down… I couldn’t. Even when the last book pissed me off? I managed to finish it and buried it in the back of my Nook?

Ventriloquist – A book with a great twist.

{Review}

We’re not going to talk about The Gilded Wolves but……….. if you know, you know. It still hurts.

And I’m never forgiving you.

Magician – A book with a magic system you love.

{Review}

This is going to be a purely Slytherin answer, but me loving some dark reads, An Unkindness of Magicians has a magic system that I more so appreciate?

Because it’s not all roses and sunshine, there’s a huge theme of cause and effect, sacrifice and consequences for having such immense power?

I don’t know, it felt more realistic than just having this power and not having to give up something important for it.

Static Trapeze – Best or Worst Cliffhanger.

The Forgotten Mountain by Heather Lyons has the most frustrating cliffhanger EVER?

In a good way though and not for any major reason, she just made a decision A LOT HARDER. WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO ME. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

If you think I didn’t go digging into my Goodreads shelves for some different answers you are WRONG. But! I’m tagging all of you who see this tag…. to do the tag. Let me know if you did it!
