Santa, Might I Recommend… Books to put under my Christmas tree?

{to the people who like my post even when they’re unfinished and accidentally upload? ya’ll are the real MVPs}.

Dear Santa,

I deserve happiness, alright? And considering what 2020 has done to all of us, the least you can do is give me what I want.

That being said, my address is…

I’m joking (kind of) but there is so much I’m looking forward to next year, books being on the top of my list. So, hypothetically, if I were to write Santa a not-so-passive-aggressive- letter, these are the books I’d want him to bring me.

Wings of Ebony – J. Elle || Joining the street team has been one of my favorite experiences of 2020, but also?? This book has jump high on my list ever since I saw this cover on Twitter… I may be in love.

The Hidden Palace – Helene Wecker || WHEN I TELL YOU I SCREAMED WHEN THE RELEASE DATE WAS *OFFICIALLY* ANNOUNCED? The pushbacks, the lack of a synopsis until recently, the paaiinnn. I cannot WAIT.

Lore – Alexandra Bracken || It might be the Medusa-like cover, or the mythology aspect in general, but wow. Talk about a synopsis that knocks you out amirite??

Excuse Me While I Ugly Cry – Joya Goffney || I’m scared this book may make me feel too much??? I’m not emotionally prepared. But, it’s also for fans of I Wanna Be Where You Are and ya’ll KNOW how much I adore her and her books.

❥  Bad Witch Burning – Jessica Lewis || PREMISE? We love an opportunistic entrepreneur who raised the dead for some moneies.

❥  Ace of Spades – Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé || I featured this cover on my Instagram story and my mother (who I have not blocked yet…) decided to blow up my DM’s asking every question under the sun about this here book. So there’s that.

❥  Simone Breaks All the Rules – Debbie Rigaud || Truly, Madly, Royally was one of my favorite books of last year, so it’s no secret that Rigaud is on my look-out-for-her-works list. And there’s two books coming in this duology? Series? Maybe it’s a companion novel? Either way, I’m excited.

❥  Act Your Age, Eve Brown – Talia Hibbert || If you’ve been here long enough, you know I LIVE for the Brown sisters. What’s understood doesn’t need to be explained.

I’m keeping it cute with eight… so that’s reasonable, right Santa?

Of course, what books are you highly anticipating in the new year? Are any of these books on your radar? Let me know in the comments below!
