Top Ten Tueday- Best Character Names

Top Ten Tuesday was created by  The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.

Choosing these names was hard. Because the act of separating the character from the name is hard. If I was going based on character… I won’t lie this whole list would be filled with Laini Taylor/Victoria Scwab ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . So, I going based on if I’d name my hypothetical children these names.

Hazel Levesque

Honestly, I love her last name? (and her as a character No… I haven’t read HOO…

Laia – An Ember in the Ashes

Laia is such a pretty name, I like the way it rolls off the tongue.

Nik Malikov – Gemina

This name gives off a badass aura (despite my guy Nik being a cinnamon roll).

Adelina Amertouru

Adelina in German means “noble”… if you’ve read the books… I would’t call her noble….

Kashmir is another one of those troublemaker names (can’t really call him a cinnamon roll, though I do like him 😉 ).

Again with the names that roll off the tongue, kind of lyrical and has a rhythm to it (I’m not making sense).

Sam

Just the name Sam in general (there’s no picture since there are multiple characters in YA named Sam) and it’s a little weird… I don’t know where the fondness of the name came from.

Kell – A Darker Shade of Magic

I tried, but this is purely character based ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
