December Wrap Up + January TBR // How do you read during Christmas?

Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes…♫

Happy New Years, guys! Are you all tired from staying up so late? I, personally, went to sleep because I’m not going out on the strip on New Years… Anyways, last month was the month for chaos, guys (not really, this is me being dramatic). Christmas visits(we won’t talk about my disastrous Christmas) with new born babies and Christmas parties with a pinch of reading. And I got sick at the beginning of the month -_- . Can I used the term new year, new me yet? I need that on a shirt.

So, in my attempt, to be more festive (minus the party), I’ve been on a Rent binge. If you don’t know, Rent is one of my favorite movies… and it’s not because of my adoration for Rosario Dawson (・_・ヾ. But I digress. I did manage to read a lot this month:

I’m going to be using my rep indicators in my wrap up.  This idea was Romie’s @RomieWeDeserveLove so credit for the idea for these markers goes there!

🌈 = books with lgbt+ representation
🌞 = representation of people of colour
♿ =  disability rep
🌸  = mental illness rep
✔ = was on my monthly tbr

📚 = physical book

Unapologetic Self Plug

My first cover reveal!! I never thought this would happen because of nerves an anxiety. When I got the email I actually started hyperventilating. But I got through it!

So… I did something I wasn’t supposed to do… I hit the request button on Netgalley and broke it… A lot of books came my way and I had to read them (it wasn’t that many, I’m just procrastinating on reading them #moodreader)… We aren’t going to talk about how I didn’t finish the HP series this year… Look, again, I’m a mood reader and I just wasn’t in the mood ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . On spontaneous news (because this was a spontaneous choice), I changed the way my blog looks! There was an actual reason, but I’m embarrassed to say so…

TBR Monthly 01

This month’s going to be a chill month, probably nothing as wild as December. I have a lot of playing catch up to do when it comes to school work amongst other things.

  • The Red Pyramid { Kane Chronicles #1 } – Rick Riordan
  • Ace of Shades { The Shadow Game #1 } – Amanda Foody
  • Batman: Nightwalker { DC Icons #2 } – Marie Lu
  • The Lost Plot { The Invisible Library #4 } – Genevieve Cogman

Look at me, minimizing my TBR for January. I’m not adding Pride and Prejudice to this one… I’ll get to it when I get to it. I’m thinking on my quest to get into more audiobooks, I’ll just listen to it ( I was under the impression it was going to be narrated by Thandie Newton I love her too don’t @ me but that was Jane Eyre which I’m also going to listen to because her voice ❤ so…. anyway). I actually can’t believe I got an ARC of Ace of Shades?  We’re not going to jinx or question it. Cheers 🙂 .

  1. 15 is a lot!
I’m really interested in what you thought of The November Girl – I haven’t seen anyone talk about it since the cover was revealed, it’s one of those releases that wasn’t hyped at all.
And I hope Ace of Shades is good! I liked the Foody’s debut.
