Comfort Reads || TTT

Top Ten Tuesday was created by  The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.

It’s quite difficult to find a book I can definitively deem a comfort read. You see, the books I love come in two extremes: too sad that I can never back to it but I will talk about it endlessly or a book so sad and dark you’re like why do you keep rereading this sad ass story? How is this comforting to you?

you guys may also have seen this post in a more raw form. if so…. no you didn’t. enjoy.

feel good

reviews: get a life, chloe brown // not your sidekick

This is what these books feel like: A giant, warm hug that make me laugh and smile and make really weird noises that sounds like a pig is dying at 2 a.m. From joy. Yeah.

…not feel good

reviews: the hearts we sold // a million junes

Now, I’m noticing that I have a tendency to just… not review these? Because sadness. Have cried at all but TWO of these.

If you can guess which two, you get a cookie.

Comfort reads… how do you define those? I know the normal first thought is fluffy and butterflies and whatnot, but for me they’re books I find myself continuously returning to… no matter the pain.
