Books I Wish I Could Read Again for the First Time

Top Ten Tuesday was created by  The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.

I feel repetitive when I say that rereading is something I struggle with as a whole. Yes, I’d love to go back and revisit Graceling yet again, but deep down I know that the magic of that first read will be missing. It’ll be a… stale joy, at least for me. Which, isn’t a bad thing per se, just… again, the magic of discovering a story for the first time… nothing will compare.

So, this weeks’ subject is kind of perfect, considering I have been in not only a slump, but a nostalgic mood as of late. Blame in on the season change that is upcoming, but… I’m in a cozy-up-by-the-fire-with-some-tea-and-an-old-favorite kind of mood. It’s a vibe.

Even though this weather is saying otherwise *cough cough 107 degrees cough cough* .

Now, this was already a TTT topic last year that I’ve done, so I won’t being making any repeats here? Or at least I’ll try, no promises.

Books I can see myself re-reading SOON

Reviews: Middlegame | The Bone Witch | The Heart Forger | The Shadowglass | Alice

I say I’m in a slump… and then I list these books. Minus Alice, these books messed me up. I was emotionally compromised in the BEST OF WAYS.

However, if I look back on this year as a whole so far, these books have been the ones I’ve not only talked about the most, but have seriously considered coming back to very soon.

Random favorites that should get a re-read soon

Reviews: Gods of Jade and Shadow | Shadow of the Fox | A Star Touched Queen | Between the Water and the Woods | Menagerie

As for these books…. to be honest I needed five books, went on my kindle/bookshelf and said huh. I actually miss these.

Most of these were fun, non heavy books *cough cough menagerie DOES NOT COUNT GEEZ* but I can definitely see myself using these five to pull me out of the illusive slump that I refuse to acknowledge is happening right now.

Do you plan on doing any re-reading with the upcoming season? Which ones? Any of these one your list? Any on your list that should read? Let me know in the comments below!
