Books I Meant to Read In 2020 but Didn’t Get To

Top Ten Tuesday was created by  The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.

Because of my work schedule this week, this post wasn’t going to be a thing. But!! Because of my shit sleep schedule, I managed to blow this one out.

I don’t know if I should be thankful or not.

Going through my 2020 TBR’s was… a job I didn’t think it would be, but now I’m just embarrassed.

Yet, 2020 as a year was a hard one– not only for myself, but for many others. It was a shit reading year on top of all of that. So! 2021 is showing to be a bit better reading wise; I will put it in the universe that I will get to most of these.

Full Disclosure – Camryn Garrett || This is one of these things where I was am nervous getting to it, but am realizing I deserve happiness and this is the book to do it.

With the Fire on High – Elizabeth Acevedo || I’m slowly but surely getting through Acevedo’s catalogue and this one is next on the list of greatness.

When Villains Rise – Rebecca Schaeffer || I am so behind on Chupeco’s book and am so ashamed*…

Lovecraft Country – Matt Ruff || I had become very obsessed with the show and impulse bought the book… and then realized it wasn’t #ownvoices? And it kind of put me off?

Wicked as You Wish – Rin Chupeco || *Refer to the one above T_T

The Deck of Omens – Christine Lynn || It’s actually funny the amount of hoops I went through to get an ARC… only for it to sit on my shelf this long… aha……

A Dream so Dark – L.L. McKinney || I won’t lie, I did find book one to just be okay, which is probably what’s keeping me from finally getting to this one.

The Silence of Bones – June Hur || I keep telling myself I’m going to get to this, but I also kind of want to buddy read this with someone??

Not Your Villain – C.B. Lee ||… I actually don’t know what is preventing me from reading this… my fear of happiness?*

Wayward Witch – Zoraida Córdova || *refer to the one above T_T

What books were you all meant to read last year? Any plans to get to them this year? Have you read any of these and if so… how were they? Let me know in the comments below!
