Books I Wish I Could Read for the First Time

Top Ten Tuesday was created by  The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.

It’s been a while since I compiled a list of ten books on a specific topic, but here I am. Returning to my roots.

Now, you may be coming into this thinking this will be a sort of favorites list… no. Majority of these picks are for kind of strange reasons…? just stick with me.

Books I Need to Properly Review

I say properly review because this is one of those situations where I’m too scared to go back and relive the pain, but I desperately want to write my thoughts down and immortalize them onto this here blog.

So there’s that.

I do plan on re-reading them… eventually, but… I don’t know when.

Books I can Analyze a Bit Better

These are books that I either deeply appreciate or have grown to appreciate over time and I wish I had read them in the frame of mind I’m in now. I deeply feel like I wold have gotten more out of them now rather than when I first read them.

minus Nevernight. I feel like I would have disliked it a bit more if I had read it now.

Nostalgia

I had read these book very young and for one book, it had moved me deeply…

… as for the other book/series, though I had my incomprehensible issues with a few things, it’s still a series I ADORED. If I had read them now, I’d be a super fangirl.

Books I’ve Changed my Opinion On

These two books/series kind of confused me when I had first read them. Maybe it was hype, but I kind of felt like I had to like them or be booted from the bookish community.

(I’m being dramatic, but you get the gist here).

I’m not saying I disliked these book at all or I lied in my reviews of them, yet I feel like if I had read them for the first time now, I’d be a bit more honest with myself and look deeper into my issues with said books/series.

I did a bit of a twist with this weeks prompt, but! Tell me some books you wish you could read for the first time! I’d love to know your childhood favorites in the comments below!
