Considering my track record this year in terms of reading and consistency… I initially wasn’t going to do a tag like this. However, finding this tag on Kate’s blog and looking at the questions, I could do this tag without every question being gee I don’t know excuse excuse excuse. So, here I am.
Now, I may or may not modify some of the questions??? Just a little bit?? So, there’s that.
This tag was originally created by Ariel Bassett, so go check that out.

Are there any books series you started this year you need to finish?
I’m going to go with Below by Alexandria Warwick? Book three isn’t out yet, but I revealed the cover for it and I own book two… so I want to get caught up by the end of the month?

Do you have an autumnal winter-y book to transition to the end of the year?
❥ Into the Crooked Place by Alexandra Christo
❥ All the Stars and Teeth by Adalyn Grace
❥ The Silence of Bones – June Hur
These may not be winter-y, but they give me a winter-y vibe…
(it may also be because they’re blue, but we’ll ignore that.)

Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

SO MANY. I’m assuming this means books coming out before the year ends and because I can’t find any books that fit that rule, I’ll expand it to January…
Happily Ever Afters by Elise Bryant gives me so much black girl magic and black girl happiness… EXCITEMENT.

What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?
❥ The Wicked King by Holly Black
❥ Graves for Drifters and Thieves by Sophia Mentos
❥ Rent a Boyfriend – Gloria Chao
Not only is Graves for Drifters and Thieves an indie release… it releases in a few days!! So… I should probably get on that.

Is there a book that you think could still shock you and become your favourite?

I probably won’t get to it by the end of the year, but The Chosen Ones by Veronica Roth gives me major Middlegame vibes…
…and we know that is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES….
…so I have trepid hope.

Have you already made reading plans for 2021?
I have! That’s a post that’ll go live in 2021, but a little idea of what I have in mind:
- anime/manga
- audiobooks
- journaling
- personal thingies
I’m hoping it’ll be a good, productive year ❤ .

I don’t think this is a tag I need to specifically tag people in… it’s the end of the year, I’d love to see yours answers! But, for now tell me your most anticipated 2021 release in the comments below!

I’m currently reading Rent a Boyfriend and I’m enjoying it so much! I can relate to the main character and it’s both fluffy and heavy.
