October Wrap-Up

THE YEAR IS ALMOST OVER. And with the upcoming election (which I voted in!!) … I’m not trying to stress or think about it too much, so let’s focus on October, yeah? Because this month was full of spontaneity and good vibes.

I’ve been mostly watching a lot of JCS – Criminal Psychology on Youtube (yes, it’s disturbing) and that vein of content… can’t really chalk it up to the season, that’s just my kind of content.

  • Prosper’s Demon – K.J. Parker ✰✰✰✰ + review
  • Watashi no Tadashii Onii-Chan {ongoing}
  • Lakewood – Megan Giddings ✰✰✰ + review
  • Ate – Riley Adams ✰✰

… considering I semi stayed on track with my TBRI’m counting this as a win.

I finally recommended some things! I gave ya’ll spooky reads for newbies like myself, which was a lot harder than I thought it’d be… but I did it and I’m proud.

And while I’m here, I might as well add a tiny what I’ve watched segment as well…

  • 13 Ghost – so supposedly, this cared my sister as a child (like a lot) and… I low key hated it???? It was a bad movie I could deliriously laugh at while hated every character (except Shaggy) and wish their deaths.
  • Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark – if I told you I liked the CGI more than the acting, would that be a bad thing? To be fair, the scary things were unsettling, which is always great for a scary movie… so there’s that.

If you haven’t noticed… I’m a harsh movie critic.

When I mentioned spontaneity in the beginning… I CUT MY HAIR! REALLY SHORT! Now, I could go into depth on hair and the importance of it in the black community, how my mother cried as she watched it fall to the ground, how my sister cried when she saw it for the first time, how I felt absolutely nothingbut I’m not going to do that. Instead, all I’m going to say is I LOVE HOW LOW MAINTENANCE THIS IS YESSSSSS.

Ahem. Any-hoo.

I mentioned I went on a custom earring minge the last two months?? Well, I’m on to newer things… ie: Necklaces and bracelets. Nothing too interesting.

Did I mention I’m a part of a street team again? Because I’m a part of a street team. And I’m really putting my all into it. In another post in the future, I’ll talk about my last street team engagement and all my regrets in that one, but this is not the post for that.

Other than that; I voted, I won a giveaway for one of my most anticipated releases (!!!)and I’m overall happy. Surprisingly.

How has your month been? Read any creepy books? Anything you’re looking forward to in the upcoming month? Let me know in the comments below!
