Spooky TBR || 2020

It’s my second favorite TBR list to make! This is going to be a pretty short post, unless ya’ll want to watch me ramble on and on and on and…

Now, considering I am a big wuss who doesn’t really gravitate towards horror or creepy or spooky reads, this TBR is one to kind of push my boundaries, you know? And over the years I’ve actually found some favorites of mine, so I’ll call this a win.

As always, this list is and is not here to hold me accountable. Take that as you will.

2018 | 2019

When Villains Rise – Rebecca Schaeffer || THE END OF A SERIES! I’m nervous….

Reviews: Not Even Bones; Only Ashes Remain

Darling Rose Gold – Stephanie Wrobel || I don’t know what made me request this from Edelweiss earlier in the year, but… I did. And I’ve been too scared to read it– something in my brain keeps comparing it to Gone Girl?? Even though I’ve never read Gone Girl???

Lakewood – Megan Giddings || Something so out of my element, I don’t read sci-fi horror… NERVES.

Boneless Mercies/Seven Endless Forest – April Genevieve Tucholke || Short story time: I won Boneless Mercies in a giveaway back in 2018 I believe? So, if I get to that one, the next book will follow.

The Regrets – Amy Bonnaffons || Ya’ll have probably seen this one on a few of my failed TBR’s in the past this.. so this means I still haven’t read it.

The Project – Courtney Summers || I mention pretty often that cults scare me??? So this is probably the scariest book on here for me.

Review: Sadie

Prosper’s Demon – K.J. Parker || Past due ARC #1 that is so easy to get to seeing as it’s a NOVELLA???*

The Monster of Elendhaven – Jennifer Giesbrecht || *refer to the above statement.

One pick from my TBR Jar {#19- Gorgeous cover} Witchy – Ariel Slamet Ries || I may be cheating since I don’t own physical spooky books and this cover is pretty… I make the rules here don’t judge me.

If you’ve seen my Instagram stories (ya’ll should follow me way, I’m totally boring) you would see that I bought a full collection of Edgar Allen Poe’s short stories and poems. Now, I’m not trying to finish all of that (the book is THICC) but I want to get through a few.

Are you ready for the spooky season?? Have you read any of these? What’s your favorite creepy read? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. I love the covers for The Regrets and Witchy so I might pick them up this spooky season. I don’t necessarily have any favorites since scary books aren’t my go-to reads, but I have decided to read IT by Stephen King this year so that’s going to be fun lol

  2. The cover for Witchy is kinda cute. I really think Lobizona is a great read for October. Very witchy/wolfy/woods atmospheres. That’s be my pick if I hadn’t already read it.
