Wooooooooooooow it’s been 3 months?? Since the last post like this???
But, I’ve been kind of on a ARC requesting ban as of late… I haven’t been reading any late ARC’s, so I’m kind of not requesting.
I’m in a stalemate to be honest.
But, it’s fine: one step at a time. So let’s look at my shelves.
To be fair my Netgalley ratio is at 81% at the moment.

Prosper’s Demon – K.J. Parker || Tor.com has always got ya girl’s back and this is so up my alley yet NOT at the same time?? Either way, we know who’s going to love this.

Yes, No, Maybe So – Becky Albertalli & Aisha Saeed || NEED I SAY MORE???
In all honesty, I didn’t become an Albertalli fan until I read What If It’s Us (no, I haven’t read/watched Simon yet), but this just… I might cry.
Seven Deadly Shadows – Courtney Alemeda & Valynne E. Maetani || I’m not the first and I won’t be the last to say this premise is giving me anime in book form with all of my favorite tropes???
Not so Pure and Simple – Lamar Giles || Toxic masculinity and sex educations from a male POV and black characters and again, I may cry. And I’m kind of scared of reading this…
Red Hood – Elana K. Arnold || I don’t think I’ve mentioned this, but as much as I love Beauty and the Beast, Little Red Riding Hood retellings may be my favorite in book form… and this one just feels powerful or like it might be.
Wicked as You Wish – Rin Chupeco || I’m a massive Chupeco fan. Hands down. Don’t ask questions. Just accept it.
Thorn – Don’t know much about The Goose Girl… but we’re trying something new.

Sensational { Spectacle #2 } – Jodie Lynn Zdrok || I really like book one and I have so many theories on the whys and hows and it was just there on Netgalley….
The Wendy / The Navigator { Tales of the Wendy #1-2 } – Erin Michelle Sky || I make it quite known that I cannot STAND Peter Pan… and yet… it seems to be feminist???
I’m making excuses but I’m intrigued, okay???
A Love Hate Thing – Whitney D. Grandison || I don’t know why this is giving me Fresh Prince of Bel-Air vibes, but I am HERE FOR IT.
The Regrets – Amy Bonnaffons || This is somehow not really up my alley… yet is at the same time??? Romeo and Juliet, but ones dead….. Will I be ready for the angst???
The Weight of a Soul – Elizabeth Tammi || Soul seems to be a buzzword for me that’ll get me in line, but there’s also the Norse goddess of death, which is another thing that will have me there.
The Vanished Birds – Simon Jimenez || Look, I got an email with a link from the publisher and I was there.
No, again, the premise of family is also a thing that I will absolutely adore…. and found family at that??? OOF YES.

So… how’s your shelves looking? Do you have any of these? Let me know in the comments below!

If that’s all you have on your shelves for them and you’re calling that a mess, I have a disaster on mine! I’m excited though, for I’ve read a few NetGalley books this month and I only have a handful of books on hold at the library now. I see the light, I see the light! I’m going to tackle my NetGalley list, head on. I haven’t signed up for Edelweiss yet, perhaps that’s a good thing.
I think your shelves look good.

Ha! That’s hilarious! 😆😂 I’ve been fighting these little angels and devils that sit on my shoulders when I open my inbox. The invites to read this on NetGalley by “just clicking the icon” have been so tempting yet I think of the list I have to read already on there. But….these book dates are out in the future, and the books look so good, and I’ll be caught up by then, right? Yet, the list ….it looms over my head. 😁 You just made my morning- thanks!
