September Wrap-Up + October TBR || My blog is a Virgo

My one year blogiversary came up on the first of September and I completely just… didn’t celebrate. Not my fault, but I was busy and stressed and to be honest… didn’t really know when I started my blog soooooo.

But, I was social this month! I went to NASCAR, my mother got recognized by the mayor (!!!) and… that was it. Which is probably how I got 13 books read this month…. #sorry.

I’m going to be using my rep indicators in my wrap up. This idea was Romie’s @RomieWeDeserveLove so credit for the idea for these markers goes there!

shameless

Shameless – I only watched the first 2(?) episodes and at first I wasn’t really feeling it… but weeks later I’m over here… kind of wanting to continue… yikes.

Unapologetic Self Plug

I talk about what being 18 for a week has done to me, ask if Netgalley/Edelweiss is limiting me and do the Sunshine Blogger Award

I ask Laura J. Barns and Melinda Metz some questions (!!!), I go down my TBR (I do this twice) and I do the Entertainer Book Tag

I do a guide to reading, talk about tropes that can die and talk about sexy songs (amongst other things).

September was the month I wanted to get through my physical TBR. I’ve noticed for a few months that I’ve been reading a lot of ebooks in the form of ARC’s and Overdrive library books. It wasn’t intentional, but I did request a ton of ARC for September and October. Yikes. So I have a plan: I’m going to alternate between formats. And I want to listen to an audiobook each month… or at least a bit of one until I either run out of audiobooks (this is mostly because I STILL HAVEN’T FINISHED P&P).

  • This is Kind of an Epic Love Story – Kheryn Callander
  • The Geography of Lost Things – Jessica Broody

I only have one ARC for November and two for October??? Who am I??? So I’m… kind of free from reading obligations?? Hence the spooky TBR πŸ˜‰ . But I’ve also been slacking on my challenges (2 month hiatus who?) so while I’m not trying to overwhelm myself (which I will undoubtedly do), I do want to get through some of them (specifically two). I won’t put them down, that just makes it more real, but I will try and get to them… wish me luck πŸ™‚ .

  1. I’m reading the Star-Touched Stories right now and I’m really enjoying it! I’m hoping to get to This is Kind of an Epic Love Story afterwards as well!

      1. Oh no! Did you not like it? Now I’m scared. I’ll still read it but I do like your opinion on it because we seem to read the same type of books and have the same tastes. But I’m excited for Star-Touched stories because Roshani Chokshi has never failed!

      2. Oh no that sucks! I’ll definitely keep in mind for that. I’ve been behind on my blogs so who knows when I’ll get to the review but I hope your next read is better!
