Top Ten Tuesday- Books I Loved but Will Never Re-Read

TTT

Top Ten Tuesday was created by  The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.

I haven’t did one of these since February (yes, I check and I’m sorry). So, these are back and I’m really feeling this topic. I mention often how I’m not much of a re-reader. However, Never say Never is something I heavily live by, so this isn’t really a never list, it’s more like a highly unlikely list.

Six of Crows

I won’t re-read the first book. It’s highly likely that it will never happen since so much happens in the second book progression wise, but I love this book so much ❤ .

The Young Elites

YE

I don’t re-read this one for the simple reason of Enzo. I’m not going to spoil anything, but him and Adelina are not my ship. And book two is when Adelina really gets ruthless. And there’s Magiano, so ’nuff said.

A Monster Calls

TT2.3

This book made me cry buckets and made me reflect on some things. i read this when my mother was going through some health issues, so this hit me hard, It’s a story I will remember for a long time, but re-reading may emotionally wreck me again.

Chaos Walking Trilogy

TT2.7

This trilogy. Has put me through too much. I may re-read this… when I’m 30. No, but in all seriousness, this trilogy has put me on an emotional roller-coaster like no other. I… I can’t go through that any time soon. I just can’t.

The Walled City

T5W 3.1

Despite the first half of this book was a definite five star for me (that beginning chapter… damn…) there was this romance… and I hated it. With a passion. I had to put the book down for a few months. However, I do love this book, I just can’t re-read it.

Again, I live by Never say Never, so those are completely off the table… they’re just teetering on the edge 🙂 .

What are some favorites you just can’t re-read? Is it the books fault? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. Loved your list! And can totally understand rereading Six of Crows wouldn’t be my go-to either for the same reason you stated. A Monster Calls broke me and the way it snuck up on me was enough just the one time lol. I def need to give the Chaos Walking books (may have slaughtered the title) a shot, I do own a copy of the first book 💜
