I KNOW, OKAY? It’s February and I’m joining a new reading challenge thingy. I SHOULD BE ASHAMED.

No, but in all seriousness, this seems like the perfect opportunity to get into some genres I normally wouldn’t gravitate towards or those that I’d like to get into more.

Hosted by Dani @Perspective of a Writer, there are some pretty chill goals (you can find out more on her blog):

#1 – Target genres that I LOVE but never seem to get to.

#2 – Choose and focus on my most anticipated in those genres.

#3 – Pick older books that have been on my TBR list for a while.

#4 – Mix it up so that there will be all sorts of books to fit any mood!

#5 – Don’t feel pressured, even DNF if I’m not feeling the book…

… and I’m going to attempt (key word right there) to do them!

Contemporary/Mental Health

I mention often my issues with contemporaries… we have a love/hate relationship. On the other hand, I’ve had a pretty good roll with mental health rep, but I’d love to get into more.

The Love Letters of Abelard and Lily – Laura Creedle || Neurodivergent Characters

Eliza and her Monsters – || Anxiety Rep.

Here We Are Now – Jasmine Warga ✰✰ DNF

The Color Project – Sierra Abrams ✰✰✰

My So Called Bollywood Life – Nisha Sharma || #ownvoices ✰✰✰✰

Historical Fiction

I don’t read a lot of Historical Fiction, so… I tried ¯\_()_/¯

Dread Nation { Dread Nation #1 } – Justina Ireland || Diversity ✰✰✰✰

Sky in the Deep – Adrienne Young ✰✰✰✰
