Spoiler or Spoiler-free

While I like spoilers (don’t shoot), I try to keep my reviews spoiler-free because I know the majority don’t really enjoy them.

 

How long have you been blogging?

I initially made my blog and started writing reviews in September 2017 to find my flow and such, but I started putting up post publicly in October 2017.

 

A book you’ve read in one sitting

I tend to read most of my books in one sitting? But, I’m counting Artemis by Andy Weir because although it was only an 8 hour audiobook and Rosario Dawson’s voice made it all better, it was the longest journey, guys.

 

Your favorite genre?

It’s a three-way tie between Fantasy, Sci-fi and Magical Realism (if sad books were a genre, it’d blow those three out of the water 😉 ).

 

Preferred book size? (Novella, Tome, etc…)

Around 400 pages… That’s less than a tome but more than a novel… I think…

 

Amount of books on your TBR?

I try to keep it under 400 on Goodreads (subconsciously 350, but I’m toeing the line right now).

 

A book you have DNFed?

Don’t know if you knew this, but I am the DNF queen. However, I’ve gotten pretty good with finding books I’ll like, so I haven’t been DNFing lately. The last book I DNFed was… probably…Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. It got cringey and boring and saturated with cheese. But that was back in June, so you know I’ve gotten better at weeding out bs.

 

Recent awards or milestones?

Um… I recently surpassed 70 followers? I know it may not seem like much, but I’m still in disbelief, but we’re not going to talk about it.

 

Best interaction with an author you enjoy?

I… don’t meet authors, let alone talk to them (I get extremely anxious).

 

Average number of books you read per month?

Huh, I’ve never really though about it… I want to say ten, but I’m not really accurately guessing, only half-assed.

 

Top three publishers?

I don’t really think about publishers, only authors.

 

Social media sites your blog uses

Assuming we’re not counting WordPress, I use Goodreads, Netgalley, Edelweiss, and Twitter.

 

Average amount of time you spend networking?

Um… since I’m a jobless teen who home-schools, I usually spend a few hours liking, commenting, posting and such. But, it’s more of a sporadic thing, I’ll get an email that I got a comment then log in on my phone to reply, so it doesn’t take much.

 

Most comfortable blogging position?

In bed, with two pillows supporting my back (just like my reading position).

 

Can you sum up your blogging style in 5 words?

Um… Plan everything, second guess later.

 

Music or quiet when writing reviews?

More like Youtube?

 

A blog you looked up to starting out?

Alyssa @ Eater of Books is the main one. Her content was amazing and her being a POC really made me think I can do this.

 

Best book you’ve reviewed so far?

…. WHY IS THIS QUESTION SO HARD? If I’m honest, probably The Hearts We Sold by Emily Lloyd-Jones (ha, you thought you’d never see this book again?)

 

Best piece of blogging advice?

I’m probably going to sound cliched, but do it for youself. When I first started, in order for me to actually go through with it, I had to keep telling myself it doesn’t matter if your blog gets buried in the sand, this is for you and you alone. Then I started to get out of my shell (just a little bit 🙂 ) and I’ve been having fun since.
