Top Five Wednesday- 2018 Reading Resolutions

Top Five Wednesday

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme run by Thoughts on Tomes and Ginger Reads Lainey. The Goodreads group is linked here.

Hello New Year! How are you? Hopefully we get along nicely. Resolutions and me do not go well in the same sentence because… I tend to not do them. However, like every other year, I’m going to attempt to prevail.

Participate in a 24 hour readathon

I mean… I don’t have much time to do this as I’m looking for a job at the moment, but it looks fun and I’ve seen so many booktubers do it.

Series Completion

I’ve talked about my non-purposeful aversion to finishing or continuing series. So, I at least want to buy more sequels<— that’s the priority before I start completing series.

Re-read 3 books that made you cry

There are a few books that I’m looking at right now on my shelf that have made me bawl that I really want to re-read. Is that masochist? Maybe.

Read more comics/graphic novels/anthologies

I’ve already bought the first four books in the Saga series, the first book in the Monstress series and I plan on preordering The Prince and the Dressmaker in February. Plus Because You Hate To Love Me. That’s a start 🙂 .

Try a poetry book

I glanced inside Milk and Honey when I was browsing through Barnes a Noble and didn’t care for it… I seem to gravitate towards poetry like Life Is Fine and Failing and Flying. So my goal is to find a poetry book that speaks to me.

  1. I participated in a 24-hour readathon once and it was so much fun! I think I made it to 23 hours before I passed out. lol. Now I have two kids under 4 and don’t even want to try for 24-hours or I wouldn’t be able to keep up with them. Hopefully you can reach all your goals! And I think you just have to keep looking for the poetry that’s right for you. There’s so much out there!

  2. I have taken note that of all different types of insurance, health insurance is the most controversial because of the issue between the insurance coverage company’s necessity to remain making money and the buyer’s need to have insurance coverage. Insurance companies’ earnings on wellbeing plans have become low, consequently some businesses struggle to earn profits. Thanks for the suggestions you share through your blog.
