November Wrap-Up + December TBR // I fail at Harry Potter read-a-thons

Well, November was… you know… inconsistent? A lot of plan changing. I’ve been on a weird tag binge that I kind of don’t want to repeat. I mean, I’m still going to do them (because they’re suspiciously addictive) but not as many. The weather decided to cool down to freezing levels it took long enough, I finally finished Stranger Things (which we’re not going to talk about right now…) and bought things other than books. Like a Stranger Things hoodie. It’s a start, right?

On a crazier note, I’m at 52 followers? Like how? I know it doesn’t seem like much, but this is huge to me. Absolutely. Flipping. HUGE. Thank you all who follow and look at my weird, awkward post (because I may seem all cool, calm and collected, but I am always anxious) HUGS FOR EVERYONE \(^o^)/.  Anywho… I did read some good books this month:

I’m going to be using my rep indicators in my wrap up.  This idea was Romie’s @RomieWeDeserveLove so credit for the idea for these markers goes there!

🌈 = books with lgbt+ representation

♿ =  disability rep
🌸  = mental illness rep
✔ = was on my monthly tbr

📚 = physical book

I won’t say this readathon was a failure… more like an experience. I wasn’t as prepared as I should’ve been, but I did read some books and got some challenges done 🙂 .

I know I said this was the month I finish Harry Potter and I got through four books! But I couldn’t read for about two weeks, then decided pretty late in the month to do Tome Topple and that took up the last two weeks of my November. But then I discovered a solution: Harry X-Mas To You, the month long Harry Potter read along that I have the upper hand on because of the four books I read last month. It all works out! Though I’ll be participating in the “read-a-thon” part and not the watch along because this time of the year is especially hectic. *Speaking of Harry Potter, I’ve notice all the themed tags and I can finally do them! I don’t have to avoid them anymore!*
TBR Monthly 12 festive

I realize that I don’t have any Christmas like books, or anything festive for that matter. But I’m not a super festive person… Huh… I do want to buy the Magnus Chase series, but I am 95% sure I won’t get to it in December 😦 . I did end up buying the first 4 Saga comics so… 10 points to Slytherin.

  • Monsters of Men { Chaos Walking #3 } – Patrick Ness
  • Prodigy { Legend #2 } – Marie Lu
  • Everfound { Skinjackers #3 } – Neal Shusterman
  • Harry Potter series – J.K. Rowling
    • The Order of the Phoenix
    • The Half Blood Prince
    • The Deathly Hallows
  • Freed by Flame and Storm { Bound by Blood and Sand #2 } – Becky Allen

As you can see, the majority of these are finales (does this word look weird?) because I get anxious when the end of a series is near… you don’t know how many series have disappeared from my memory because I forget to read the last sometimes two books. I know this list looks ambitious, but I have faith that I can conquer this! Though I know I won’t get to them all ... I’m trying to get really into audiobooks ( I’ve only read the Illuminae series and the Book Thief <– 8th grade assignment), but I won’t put it in the universe… we’ll see where the tides… flow? Anywho, what are your plans for December? Let me know!
